Now that you have a beautiful piece of land at your disposal, it is up to you to decorate it with the most beautiful plants. In this colourful board game you play your cards tactically to plant all kinds of different flowers in your garden. Be smart in the actions you take, because the order in which it is your turn depends on your choices. The gardener can't be everywhere in your garden at once, of course, so how do you make sure everything gets water in time? When the picky onlookers come by to judge your garden, you had better have your affairs in order! If they are satisfied, that earns you points, and the player with the most points at the end of the game is the winner!

Who plays Botanicus?
Botanicus is a light board game that, thanks partly to the accessible theme and the clear choices, plays well for less experienced players. How do you play Botanicus?
Botanicus consists of three rounds, in which in rounds one and two you take turns performing different actions. Who goes when is determined by the position of your action token (Flower); so you don't play clockwise. On your turn, first move your gardener or play one garden card from your hand. Then move your Flower to a free space in the next column and perform the corresponding action. All of this to plant useful flowers to complete your special assignments for victory points. As soon as the last column is reached, you collect the Flowers and start round two. During round three the players choose one more action to perform, before it is time for scoring. Whoever has the most points after three rounds wins the game.
